About the Cristal group

The Cristal Group was created in the 2000s by a network of animal production veterinarians, namely: the Cristal Network. The progressive construction of the Group is centered around the desire of providing some complementary expertise to veterinary professionals.

As animal health concerns the well-being of our society as a whole, Groupe Cristal’s mission is to help the animal industry move forward by pooling skills and expertise, supporting the players involved and promoting continuous innovation.

The acquisition of a stake in BioAZ is fully in line with the Group’s development strategy, i.e. “alterbiotic” solutions integrating animal welfare and business support (in this case, initially for pigs).

The Group is present nowadays on two markets: the one of animal health and the one of agri-food. It includes three business areas: services, analyzes, and products. The CRISTAL ecosystem includes 400 multi-species veterinarians as well as 60 laboratory technicians, spread throughout the national territory.

In 2023, Cristal Network veterinarians monitor 30% of poultry and 15% of pig farms in France (30 veterinarians dedicated solely to this species within the Network).

In addition, two networks are now part of the CRISTAL ecosystem: Pegas for horses and Symbiavet for dogs/cats.
